Mixmaster Showdown App Reviews

At this time, Mixmaster Showdown has accumulated a 4.8-star rating based on 600 user reviews on the App Store and a 4.5-star rating based on over 100 user reviews on the Galaxy Store. Despite Android users being able to download the app from the Skillz platform, the app has no Android-specific reviews to date.

At first glance, these reviews are impressive; however, we must take a look at what some of these users are saying about Mixmaster Showdown to get an in-depth perspective on the app.

Mommy Bradley said, “I am rating Mixmaster Showdown five stars because the game is fun. You can play with real money or not. I have won money, lost money, won chips, and lost chips. I’ve been playing Skillz games for at least two years now. The best part is that I can play for a bit, then stop without penalty for not playing.”

Sigbo said, “Mixmaster Showdown is one of the best “3 in a row” type games! I also trust the developer. There are a lot of shady ones that will not let you win as you get close to winning money. I haven’t seen Tether do that. I have 5 or 6 Tether games now. I also appreciate the no ads!!!!”

And one Samsung user said, “I love playing Mixmaster Showdown it is a lot of fun, but I mostly play using the app’s free Z coins because that’s all I can afford at this time.”

As explained throughout these Mixmaster Showdown app reviews, this mobile game offers players of all skill levels a chance to test their abilities for a chance to win cash prizes.

How Does Mixmaster Showdown Work?

Mixmaster Showdown has a standard tournament-style setup, meaning that the app requires users to pay entry fees to create prize pools.

Put simply, Mixmaster Showdown works by connecting real users in a head-to-head competition with a simple objective: to match tiles in groups of three or more. The fun doesn’t stop there. This interactive game also incorporates exciting power-ups that boost your score further past your opponent’s.

How to Play Mixmaster Showdown

Mixmaster Showdown Review

When we first started playing Mixmaster Showdown, we found the rules fairly easy to learn and understand. However, as we began clearing levels, it became more challenging to keep up with other players who were said to be at a similar skill level.

After playing Mixmaster Showdown for a while, we realized the importance of not only learning how the game works but also how to master it, which meant practicing different strategies and ways to achieve power-ups.

You must clear the most goals in as few moves as possible to win. Our biggest tip is to utilize as many power-ups as possible to make the most of your remaining moves and time. Create a plan of action to map out all the potential ways you can receive more power-ups so you don’t waste your time on moves that aren’t worth as many points.

Here’s a complete list of all the power-ups available on Mixmaster Showdown and how you can collect them:

  • Lightning Bolts (+50 points): collected in matches of four or more– clears either a row or column when used
  • Bombs (+75 points): collected in matches shaped in an L or T shape– clears a 3-by-3 square when used
  • Atoms (+150 points): collected in matches of five or more– clears all tiles of the same color when used

We recommend combining combos for an added boost to your score. Take a look at some of these power-up combos and what they do:

  • Double Bolt (+250 points): created from two lightning bolts– clears an entire row and column when used
  • Bomb Lighting (+500 points): created from a lightning bolt and a bomb– clears a 3-wide row and column when used
  • Mega Bomb (+750 points): created from two bombs– clears a 7-by-7 square when used
  • Atom Bolt (+1,250 points): created from an atom and lightning bolt– turns all matching tiles into lighting bolts when used
  • Atom Bomb (+1,500): created from an atom and a bomb– turns all matching tiles into bombs when used
  • Double Atom (+2,000 points): created from two atoms– clears every tile and objective on the board

As you can tell from these power-up combos, when created, they award you many bonus points and an even bigger blast. Ultimately, these combos are the best way to clear your board and complete the round’s objective (e.g., clearing x amount of ice) within the allotted 3-minute timer and the 50-move limit.

On Mixmaster Showdown, there are three ways for you to earn points. Take a look at all the ways here:
